Pravda in the United States

This is such a good piece by Hunter of Daily Kos that I figured I must post mention of it here. Good job, Hunter. It's not like conservatives are arguing their side and liberals are arguing theirs. Conservatives are arguing for media conglomeration and centrally controlled messages, and liberals are simply arguing for objective journalism. Liberals think people are smart enough to decide for themselves, and conservatives think you are an idiot sheep, and you need to follow the leader.

It's not even about news anymore. It's all about the bottom line.

Johnny, have you ever noticed how much F. Jim Sensenbrenner looks like The Big Lebowski? Heh.

I remember being satisfied with Knight Ridder reporting at the St. Paul Pioneer Press. It will be too bad if they get sold out to Republican stiffs.

I've also read the St. Pete Times when I was vacationing down there...a good paper, didn't know it was a nonprofit, which is pretty cool.

yeah, Knight Ridder was one of the few papers seriously reporting on faulty intelligence with regard to Iraq and WMDs.
